The Film Studios in Kalkara have been bustling with activity as an Italian TV series starring the popular Italian actor Beppe Fiorello used the studio facility to create storm sequences for an upcoming production titled “Chiedilo al Mare”. 

Following discussions with the Malta Film Commission, the Italian production company Picomedia chose Malta to film many scenes of the 2-part series which will premiere on RAI, the Italian National Broadcaster next February. 

Besides shooting at the tanks, filming also took place at Valletta and Marsa.
