Quick-thinking employee uses fork-lifter to help clear road of wire meshes that fell off truck

Quick thinking by an Express Trailers employee this afternoon helped clear a busy road of wire meshes that had fallen off a truck, limiting traffic accumulation and sparing drivers a long wait on a hot summer afternoon.

A bottleneck occurred when huge scaffolding wire meshes which were not properly secured on a small truck carrying them, came loose and fell onto the car behind it.

A traffic jam ensued on the road leading from Qormi to Luqa and car horns were heard for about half an hour, during which frustrated drivers were stuck in their cars.

This accident happened right opposite Express Trailers’ offices at Hal Farrug, and employee Fabio Vella took the initiative to save the day by lifting the huge wire meshes with an Express Trailers Fork Lifter.

The police thanked the employee for his initiative and for saving the immense commotion on the road. The police on duty told him  'Imn’Alla kontu intom ta' l-Express'.

The company thanked the employee for his quick and responsive act as this was in line with Express Trailers’ mission to always ensuring safety and order on our roads.
