An 18-year-old Swiss girl suffered grievous injuries after falling three storeys in Triq il-Vanilja, Mgarr, at about 2.30am this morning, the police said.

Preliminary investigations show that the young woman was on the roof of a residence, when for an unknown reason she fell into an internal yard.

Members from the Civil Protection department and a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital assisted the victim on site.

The police are investigating.
