He was in possession of ecstasy, cocaine, and mephedrone, all of which police believe were not for personal use.

The court was asked by the prosecution to revoke his bail, to take the €1,000 deposit and the €5,000 personal guarantee given in order to receive bail in another case.

The accused was under court order to be home by 8.30pm however was caught outside at 3am. The prosecution argued that this breach of a bail condition shows that he should not be granted bail again.

The defence argued that the court must consider that the accused is under 25 years old, and stressed that the court can impose any conditions, including house arrest. They also said that the other case the accused is involved in is still ongoing.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia said that it is not in the best interest of justice to grant bail, and refused the request.
