One of the oldest roads in Safi that once connected Kirkop and Safi to Birzebbuga still has no name. There are two historical places on this road – the Roman Tower known as Tal-Gawhar and the garden of Sir Alexander Ball. I can’t understand why, after all these years the Safi Local Council and Transport Malta still refuse to give a name to this road, which once was known to everyone as Triq Bir-Zebbugia. Recently, a parallel road was named Sqaq Il Karwijja after two cars collided there.
I hope the Safi Local Council or a competent body will name this road without further delay.
