Social Dialogue Minister Helena Dalli held her first meeting with British High Commissioner Stuart Gill, where both discussed workers' rights and the national conference regarding legal amendments to work related laws which will be organised this coming November.

"High Commissioner Gill praised Malta for its advances in human rights, while noting that social dialogue in Malta was strong", a government press statement read.

Both sides also spoke about the pharmaceutical sector, and Minister Dalli also mentioned the effects Brexit could have on this sector, among which include the possibility that the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) might need to move its headquarters, currently based in the UK.
