A brand new schedule has been lined up for Malta Stars Channel Melita 614, the only local TV channel totally dedicated to local sports.
The Channel which has been synonymous for the past years for the transmissions of live BOV Premier League games, will as of this month be broadcasting an additional selection of exclusive local sports events.
These include the best weekly games from the MRFU Rugby games, MVA Volleyball games, MHA Hockey games, MRC Horseracing, FMA Futsal games, ASMK Motorsport events, MDA Darts events, MBSA Snooker games and MHA Handball games just to mention a few.
The games from the Malta Rugby Football Union, the Futsal Malta Association and Malta Handball association games have been available for Melita's subscribers on Malta Stars for the past three seasons but Volleyball, Maltese Horseracing from Marsa, Kickboxing and Hockey games will all be premiering this season on the Channel.
The Channel will as from this month be broadcasting a first run on weekdays from Monday to Friday at 20:00hrs with several re runs for the local sports enthusiast to be able to catch up and never miss their favourite match.
A new concept for the Channel as from October will be the introduction of the Retro Day which will see Fridays having back to back re runs of historic and epic local sports events being broadcast from Melita's archives. The Retro Friday will feature amongst others the best games from the past ten years of the Malta National Football Team, the finals of the FA Trophy and the GFA Cup, the best games of the Malta National Rugby Union Team, the ASA Waterpolo KO finals and the best snooker games ever of L-istilla ta' Malta Tony Drago.
Malta Stars will again this season be one of the official broadcasters of the MFA's BOV Premier League and FA Trophy where at least one game per match day is broadcast live every weekend with another being broadcast on a delayed basis.
