The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses have registered industrial action against the Health Department over a number of outstanding issues related to ECG technicians.
In a statement sent to the press, the MUMN said that such action has come about as a result of the most previous meeting it had with the Health Department and the PACBU. The purpose behind the meeting was to establish a new sectoral agreement, however three particular clauses have been deemed completely unacceptable.
The MUMN have given the government until Friday 28 October 2016, 7am to respond to the qualms in writing, otherwise all ECG technicians will be following a number of directives tied to the industrial action.
