In the first three and a half months since the Citadel Visitors’ Centre got inaugurated by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, 100,000 people have visited, making it one of the most popular attractions in Gozo.
The visitors’ centre is found before the entrance to the Citadel between two reservoirs built mid 19th century. Facilities in the visitors’ centre include audio-visual material where the historical aspects of the Citadel are shared.
The visitors’ centre was created as part of an implementation project based on recommendations made in the Citadel master plan, co-financed by the European Union through the cohesion fund.
