Born on 1st September 1923 at Zurrieq, since the age of 15, the young Anthony Camilleri had a desire to become a De La Salle Brother (otherwise known as the Brothers of the Christian Schools or Freres), ever since he was 15 years old.

During his life, Br Louis' priority was the teaching of Relgion and the spiritual formation of the people he came in contact with. Later in life he founded within the Lasallian family the Signum Fidei (Malta) Association. The Signum Fidei Association is a worldwide network of people who wish to live the spirituality, charism and educational mission of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the Founder of theBrothers.

On his death, on 29th May 2011, Br Louis left the people who knew him with a multitude of memories. However, the most shared sentiment was that he had lived aholy life.

The Brothers (at De La Salle College, Stella Maris College, Saint Benild and at the Mellieha Lasallian Retreat Centre), together with the Core Group for the Promotion of the Cause of Br Louis Camilleri F.S.C. invite all those who knew Brother Louis and the general public to the celebration of the Eucharist on Saturday 5th November 2016 at 6:30pm, at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Parish Church, Mellieha.
