To commemorate the giving spirit of Christmas, Gold Lion Holding, a start-up company specialising in property services, collected gifts and small toys for children. Approximately, 200 presents were donated over the period of one week. The team reached out to its employees, business partners, customers, and suppliers and requested them to share items as part of its Heart of Gold project. Participants were asked to drop off gifts to their headquarters, fondly known as the Lion’s Cave, on Bisazza Street, Sliema.
Social responsibility is one of the core values of this company and it aims to give back to the island.Back in September, it organised a beach clean-up event in Bugibba in liaison with the local council. Gold Lion Holding strives to create a community of cooperation and collaboration through such events. It hopes to inspire other companies to join in its social efforts and make a positive difference in Malta. After all, it is not about the magnitude of the donation or the size of the gesture, it is the thought that counts. This is the mindset of the team; no matter how large or small a business is, each kind of contribution counts.

Gold Lion Holding is one of the sponsors of Floriana FC Nursery, a Maltese training football club that has produced national champions and excellent players. It empowers children through a fun, active experience and teaches them the values of discipline, teamwork, friendship and sportsmanship.The donated gifts were distributed by Santa at their Christmas party to excited, joyful children.
Representatives of the Gold Lion Holding team, including the Holding CEO, Mátyás Sziráczki, also took some of the toys to the children’s ward at Mater Dei Hospital. The team spent some time with the children and their parents in each of the wards, Disneyland, Wonderland and Fairyland.
Toys were also donated to the Richmond Foundation. Located in Santa Venera, it is a leading NGO that works with individuals with mental health problems and works to change the negative perceptions associated with it. Further toys were donated to the Ursuline Sisters of St. Angela Merici. Founded in 1887, it takes care of children who come from economically and socially challenged backgrounds.
“It was heart-warming to see the vibrant, Christmas décor and lively ambience at Mater Dei; a result of the amazing work that the nurses and doctors do to make the children happy,” said Sharmain Zain, Marketing Manager at Gold Lion Holding. “The Ursuline Sisters of St Angela Merici houses infants and toddlers. It was an incredible experience spending time with them and seeing their bright, beautiful smiles.”
