Former Labour Party headquarters to be demolished

Freedom Press, the former Labour Party headquarters will be demolished on the night between Friday 6th January and Saturday 7th January.

For safety measures during demolishing of the building, Labour Avenue will be closed to traffic. Transport Malta said passenger vehicles from Triq Aldo Moro to the south area will be diverted either through the Industrial Estate which will be set on two-way traffic or through Dock 7.  Heavy vehicles will proceed through the Industrial Estate only.

Once the building is demolished,  temporary traffic management will be set until Sunday 8th January.Traffic in Triq il-Labour will proceed on two lanes whilst the Industrial Estate road will not be affected.  Traffic in Triq Aldo Moro will proceed on two lanes until the traffic light junction and will move as usual from this point onwards.  

Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and to follow instructions by officials on site.
