Malta is today celebrating the success brought about by the IVA campaign to join the European Union, Democratic Party leader Marlene Farrugia said today.

Writing on Facebook as Malta officially takes over the president of the European Union, Dr Farrugia said that Malta is reaping the benefits of the work carried out by the IVA coalition in favour of EU accession.

“It seemed impossible, but we managed,” she wrote.

But the IVA coalition must reunite to work in favour of clean governance, equal sharing of the country’s wealth and a health society, she said.
