President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca this morning met King Philip of Belgium at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
They spoke about the agenda chosen by Malta for its six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as the challenges the 28-nation bloc is currently facing, including Brexit, the conflicts in Libya and Syria, and migration in the Mediterranean and eastern Europe.
They also spoke about the President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society and the King Baudouin Foundation of the Belgian Royal Family.
Mrs Coleiro Preca and King Philippe also spoke about a conference, organised by Missing Children Europe, which will be held in Malta at the end of this month.
