The head of the Nationalist Party delegation to the European Parliament David Casa has been re-elected EPP Group coordinator on the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.

The result of the vote was unanimous in favour of Mr Casa's candidacy.

As coordinator Mr Casa will lead the EPP group within the Committee. 

"I am honoured to have once again been entrusted with this important role. There are many challenges in the year ahead," he said in a comment. We must strive to make progress on health and safety regulations, continue our efforts to improve the work-life balance, raise citizens out of poverty and find solutions on posting of workers."

Mr Casa will continue to serve as Coordinator for the remainder of this legislature.

Heinz Becker has, meanwhile, been elected deputy coordinator.
