Eight people were arrested in the last hours following two separate drug raids in Malta and Gozo, the police said.
Seven people – Maltese, French and Italian, aged between 19 and 28 – were arrested in an undisclosed location in Malta after cocaine and cannabis were found. The police did not give the gender of the people arrested.
Six of them were caught with drugs for their personal use and the seventh, a Maltese, was caught with several sachets of cocaine.
In another operation in Gozo, a 33-year-old man of Gharb was arrested after he was caught with 200 grammes of cannabis and sachets of cocaine.
