The Home Affairs Ministry has officially opened the recruitment process for guards at the Corradino Correctional Facility, the first of four recruitment processes expected to be opened this year. In a statement, the Ministry said that more vacancies will be made available in the near future, including posts as police officers, armed forces and Civil Protection.
Minister Carmelo Abela said that this recruitment is aimed at enforcing the services offered at the Correctional Facility in Corradino. He also highlighted the important role of the prison guards for the rehabilitation of the inmates.
The position includes guarding the facility's building, inmates searches and searches carried out on visitors. Prison guards are also expected to guide inmates in their behaviour and rehabilitation.
The training programme included with the recruitment process will be held in Ta' Kandja.
