Remains of wooden launch removed from Birzebbuġa seabed

The wreck of a wooden launch which had run aground at St George's Bay, Birzebbuġa was lifted out of the sea by workers from the Infrastructure Ministry over the past days.
Divers and a heavy duty crane were used in the operation. The hull's remains were then cut up and removed.
