Calamatta Cuschieri, one of Malta’s leading financial services firm successfully hosted its first Investment seminar for 2017 on Saturday 25th February at the Hilton Hotel in St. Julian’s. The seminar entitled “Investing in Your Future through Equities” attracted over 250 individuals from the general public.
The investment seminar, mainly aimed at beginners and intermediates, forms an integral part of the company’s strategy to give individuals the knowledge they need about investing. Mr. Alan Cuschieri, co-CEO at Calamatta Cuschieri said that “Investment knowledge is key to investing successfully and we have designed these seminars to assist investors to achieve their financial goals.”
The seminar was addressed by Mr. Kristian Camenzuli and Mr. Ian Farrugia. Mr. Kristian Camenzuli, Investment Manager at Calamatta Cuschieri was the main speaker at the event. Mr. Camenzuli earned his CFA charter in 2015 and is a member of the CFA society, UK. He co-manages Calamatta Cuschieri’s Euro Equity Fund. During this presentation, Mr. Camenzuli gave attendees the knowledge they need to familiarise themselves with equities and also gave insight on potential strategies one could be adopting when trading this asset class.
Mr. Ian Farrugia gave a practical demonstration of Calamatta Cuschieri’s online trading platform CCTrader, and explained the key functions of the mobile trading platform. Two new features and a preview of the new CCTrader Desktop version were also mentioned at the seminar. Mr. Farrugia is the CTO at the Calamatta Cuschieri Group and is also responsible for the IT systems and in-house software development.
