Foreign Affairs Minister George Vella said this evening that thus far, there has been no information indicating that there were any Maltese injured in the London attack.
He called the situation surprising. "Nobody expected that terrorism would reach the heart of London, where there is so much security."
He offered Parliament's condolences to the families of those dead and injured.
Speaker of the House Anglu Farrugia said that the Maltese Parliament expresses solidarity with the British Parliament.
PN Leader Simon Busuttil also offered his condolences. He said that no country, no matter the size, was immune to such attacks, and stressed the need for EU states to get together and combat terrorism.
