Salvu Mallia spoke about the Archbishop and Islam in Church schools in his video blog today.

He said that "We are living in a new reality, where there are persons from other religions, not just Catholics, living on the islands."

"I don't think the argument should be whether we should introduce Islam in schools or not, but rather the argument should surround 'what are we going to do with religion?'"

He also spoke about religion in schools in general. "The time has come for the people to decide that schools remain schools," he said, adding that those who want to learn religion go to religious lessons outside of school.
