A 75-year-old woman from Rabat, Gozo suffered grievous injuries when she was pinned between two vehicles earlier today.

The police said the accident took place at around 9:15am in Triq l-Arċisqof Pietru Pace, Rabat, Gozo.  

The woman was injured when her car, a Volkswagen Polo, which she had just parked, moved backwards. She was caught between her own vehicle and another parked car.  

She was taken to the Gozo General Hospital.

The police said that three other cars, a Renault, a Fiat and an Isuzu, were damaged in the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
