Two men have been arrested after they were caught attempting to steal from a private residence in Santa Venera, the police said.

Residents heard unusual noises coming from the roof and notified the police.

On their arrival, officers saw two persons running out of a residence. They were later caught and held for questioning.

The police said the two men are aged 36 and 57, but did not give their locality of residence.
