Shocking footage shows a woman narrowly avoiding tragedy after a bungee jump went badly wrong.
She fell from the safety harness on the ride at an annual fair held in Paris, but her feet remained strapped in.
The result was her flying upside down just over the heads of screaming onlookers.
Her feet remained locked in to the harness for several seconds until ride operators were able to stop the bungee.
It is not known what caused her to fall out of the harness.
Other people on the ride were secure as the woman fell out of her harness.
Eventually, the ride comes to a stop as two men manage to grab the ropes, bringing the woman’s near-fatal ordeal to an end.
