A 19-year-old was arraigned in court on charges related to the theft of valuables, from a private residence in Birkirkara, the home of his girlfriend's mother.

Dion Lia, from Żurrieq, admitted to charges of aggravated theft and causing voluntary damage to third party property. The man was also charged with relapsing.

The youth was granted bail, pending judgement next week.
