Contrary to Net News reports, the mobile shredder in the vicinity of Pilatus Bank in Ta’ Xbiex is not being used for the bank but rather for another company in the commercial area, a Ustore spokesperson has confirmed.
This afternoon, the PN media uploaded an article and live video claiming that the vehicle was in someway linked to the recent allegations concerning the bank.
Journalist Daphne Caruana Galicia has claimed that that the mysterious Egrant company set up in Panama is or was owned by the Prime Minister's wife Michelle Muscat. The allegations read that the declarations of trust containing this information were kept at Pilatus Bank, which allegedly also holds an account for Egrant.
This, coupled with the Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar’s going to a fenkata while this was taking place, has raised doubts among the public.
The spokesperson told The Malta Independent that the vehicle was intended for another company on the street and had even earlier joked with the vehicle’s driver about what people will think when they see the mobile shredder pop up near Pilatus Bank.
