The energy to lie

Rachel Borg Saturday, 20 May 2017, 08:14 Last update: about 8 years ago

The Labour party – because they are back to calling it that now, enjoy a higher popularity amongst men than with women.  The women chose Malta over the Labour Party.  This is no fluke.

Women can sense instinctively that there is something very wrong with Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi and their ménage a trois and the good company of Brian Tonna.  The arrangement speaks to them of furtive lies, betrayal, an un-natural behaviour intent on perverting the order of justice, society and perceptions.

Then, like a mixture of dough, being rolled over into itself, the realisation emerges that it is not just outright lies that are being peddled, but actual bulls**t.  Bulls**t is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are and women have a radar for such crap.  They learn to spot it as their children start to grow and create imaginative stories to explain their mis-behaviour.  They know from the telling signs when their husband is trying to dodge the bullet.  When you are the one who does the laundry or who checks unusual household budget shortfalls, the pieces soon start to form a clear picture of what’s under the collar.  So, too, as girls grow up they can also tell when their BFF is telling them a load of codswallop to cover-up her late-night tryst with the guy she should have dumped already.

So, all of this energy that is being spent on denial and inventing implausible reasons to try and explain away what is blatantly obvious, is energy that is being lost from focusing on the real issues of nefarious activities driving Malta to its ruin.  This at a time when the credibility of the perpetrators is sunk deep into the pit of lies.  And a women can decipher this method as easily as telling the weather.

Men, on the other hand, are reluctant to give up on a mate.  They know that it is essential for them to stick together especially when under attack from the women.  Maybe they think they can learn something from how Cardona dealt with the FKK Acapulco escapade and whenever Joseph is lobbed with a curve ball from Busuttil.

Either way, true men will also sense, as Godfrey Farrugia did, that they do not want to be a part of a lying and bullsh**ting team.  Now that they have daughters and sons too, who they need to speak to and teach and foster a sense of respect in them as they grow up to be real men and proud women, something tells them that they must draw a line and take a stand in ridding Malta of these moral degenerates.

Which father would allow his daughter to marry a fraud?  Could he really walk her up the aisle and lead her into the arms of one who he knows has betrayed her already and lied about it over and over again?  Could he even trust to do business with his prospective son-in-law if he is sure that he has already swindled him of thousands of euros and been peddling the name of the very family he is marrying into?

Nearly every PN candidate who gave a short bio interview to the public, said that one of the most important formative events in their life was the birth of a child, theirs or even a nephew or niece.  Such is the impact that innocence has on us.  Something we cannot mess with.   Honesty is our default mode.

What then are we doing, by giving space to this threesome and their fixer and allowing them the opportunity to continue convincing us that they are the only moral reflection of us?

If that is how you see yourself, please, stop and ask those closest to you if that is how they see you.  Guilt may play a role in having you define yourself as unworthy.  Some minor deviance could still trouble you or maybe it is because you face moral decisions on a daily basis in your line of work and know how easily one can make a mistake.  But if you had to stand away from that impression you have of yourself, you will see that actually the decisions you took were the honest ones, the right ones and it is unfair to yourself to allow anyone to convince you that you are just like them, unscrupulous and immoral.

Thankfully, Simon Busuttil does not suffer from a low self-esteem and he has single-handedly steered the population of Malta and Gozo towards the path of self-realisation and perseverance.  He stands in contrast to the weak and pitiful impassive stance of others whose job it was to represent the right choices and to give Malta a good name.  Instead their false loyalty and deception has led to the precarious place we are now in as a country, with the rule of law in complete disregard and our name mixed with that of criminals and rogue countries.  Scicluna is spitting in the wind and the most he can expect to achieve in his PR stunt is to further entrench the negative image of Malta currently raging in the five continents.  Muscat and Schembri were much more successful in their Henley & Partners passport selling road-shows.

The future of your children, the respect for women, the opportunity to do the right thing is in your hands. Joseph Muscat has failed you and himself.  You are not obliged to continue supporting him just because you did so last time he was elected.  He let you down.  He lied. Instead of being trustworthy, he projected the glamour of the rogue on the Riviera and the arrogance that accompanies it.  Fools are deceived and think that that is the life they should have and he can give them.  A little investigation reveals that the source of their power lies in a bank account in Panama and the British Virgin Islands and funnily enough, your own bank account too.

Once you see that you are being robbed in broad daylight, without the slightest recrimination you should refuse to be a part of this pantomime any longer.

Never before has Malta been in this unenviable position.  We have gone from being the envy of Europe to the lady of the night.  It gets worse by the day and nothing is being done to save us as the leadership at Castille is drawn deeper and deeper into believing its own lies and fake stories.  The propaganda machine that continues to drive this message should not be allowed to cloud your opinions and distort the truth.

Now is the time to construct a new vision based on the values that have been the backbone of progress and prosperity in Malta.  That vision is available to you with the Forza Nazzjonali and you seriously need to be a part of it if you want to live peacefully and enjoy seeing your children benefit from the good choice you made for yourself and for them.

Over and above the political platforms that are available to us, everyone can hold their own views and values.  The latest manoeuver on the ban by the broadcasting authority, the blocking of Matthew Caruana Galizia’s facebook page, the threat to remove Parliamentary immunity, the base media attacks by henchmen lurking around in the shadows, the attempts to control the public as at the student’s debate at the University and endless insidious personal remarks are to be deplored.

Everyone is called on the 3rd June to kick the lies and corruption out and the ever-growing threat to democracy and liberty.  Fail to do that and I am afraid, we kiss goodbye to our home and a civilised future.
