You would think that receiving a standing ovation after singing her heart out on Britain Got Talent’s audition stage would be the high point of her week, but Destiny Chukunyere says receiving a phone call from the President was the best thing that happened this week.
The Junior Eurovision winner this morning appeared on ITV’s This Morning, accompanied by her mother Alexia.
At one point presenter Holly Willoughby suggested that Destiny was probably getting a lot of phone calls and messages. “I received a phone call from our Maltese President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and that was the best thing that happened to me in the past week. She congratulated me for an amazing show,” said an ecstatic Destiny. “It’s amazing.”
The young singer said she immediately recognised President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, having previously had the chance to perform before her.
Asked if she was feeling ready for the next stage of Britain’s Got Talent, Destiny said: “I’ve been working hard. I’m prepared enough to give an amazing show so we’ll wait and see.”
Her mother said she was extremely proud so see hear daughter’s dream coming true.
