INDEPTH: Chris Fearne eyeing Deputy Prime Minister post if PL elected to Government

Health Minister Chris Fearne admitted on INDEPTH, that should the Labour Party return to power following the 3 June snap election, and if he is elected, he will surely contest for the post of Deputy Leader which will see him become Deputy Prime Minister during the second legislature under Joseph Muscat’s leadership.

Mr Fearne, whom according to the iSurvey commissioned by The Malta Independent, is the second most popular figure in Joseph Muscat’s cabinet after Finance Minister Edward Scicluna, was replying to questions by The Malta Independent’s Director of content Pierre Portelli in another edition of the most watched Maltese current affairs programme online: INDEPTH. The programme will be available to watch tomorrow on this news portal.

Mr Fearne was asked to comment on the current situation whereby corruption is the most dawning issue on people’s minds and if he is comfortable in a party that has corrupt elements within it.

Chris Fearne spoke of his party’s plans in the health sector should it be returned to power. He was also asked what his position will be if the PL loses to Simon Busuttil’s Forza Nazzjonali.
