VGH says none of its owners, directors or management members have accounts at Pilatus Bank

Vitals Global Healthcare said this morning that “none of its owners, directors or management members have, or ever had bank accounts with Pilatus Bank.”

VGH, which is the private owner of the Gozo and St Luke’s hospitals, was reacting to questions by PN Leader Simon Busuttil.

Speaking on Friday during Xarabank, Dr Busuttil asked whether any VGH officials had any accounts at the now infamous bank, which is at the centre of the Egrant saga and a number of damning FIAU reports on possible money laundering and kickbacks.

The reports involve the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Keith Schembri, former Allied Newspapers managing director Adrian Hillman and Brian Tonna of Nexia BT. Another report deals solely with the operations of the bank and had found serious shortcomings.
