The National Book Council Chairman, Mark Camilleri has said he would be voting the Labour Party. In numerous Facebook posts, Camilleri has said that he trusts Joseph Muscat and is willing to give him his vote.

Writing on Facebook at the very start of this election campaign, Mr Camilleri said that he would be giving his number one vote to Minister Helena Dalli, number two to Alternattiva Demokratika and the third vote for Joseph Muscat.

"I am among those who believe Joseph Muscat does not own a company abroad. I believe that every progress in the country will come from the Labour Party, not the Nationalists. In political terms, the enemy is the PN, not Labour."

"I have a sense of loyalty to Joseph Muscat for keeping his word on the censorship bill. For this thing, I will always respect him as a friend and as a person who keeps his word. I value loyalty, and for my friends, I'm willing to stick my neck out."

Mr Camilleri then points out to the magisterial inquiry. "I believe that if the inquiry finds any wrongdoing, Joseph Muscat has to resign. But I believe Joseph Muscat does not have a company offshore," he added.

"Simon Busuttil has based his campaign without any fact checking anything, all for political mileage. The PN is willing to use fascist methods to get in power," he continues.

Commenting on Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi, Mr Camilleri said that they should step down. "The only reason why you set up a company in Panama is to either evade tax, or launder money."

"But if to get rid of Schembri and Mizzi, you are willing to vote Simon Busuttil in, then I am sorry to say you don't have much sense. Simon Busuttil is corrupt in a more obvious way."
