NEPTUNES LEO VEGAS......15
EXILES JETFREIGHT...........5
(3-0), (7-2), (4-2), (1-1)
A five-star performance by Champions Neptunes Leo Vegas resulted in the biggest win of the season defeating Exiles Jetfreight 15-5. Maslovar’s team dominated play from the beginning as they were determined to show their true colours after the latest criticism that their team cannot fight for the title after losing their two direct encounters.
But yesterday they seemed to have no opponents with Romain Blary and Stevie Camilleri scoring ten out of their 15 goals. Exiles were improving game after game, but this defeat will come as a setback after having a great performance against San Ġiljan losing only by three goals. This game wasn’t the same as they didn’t have a reaction with only sporadic goals.
A quick double by youngster Miguel Zammit put Neptunes in the driving seat as Neptunes were looking already dominant. Romain Blary also scored in the first session to open up his account. Neptunes continued to score and they even managed to widen the gap to six goals until Exiles scored their first goal. But the Champions continued to score to secure the points with an eight goal advantage at the end of the second session.
The game was only played for statistics as coach Maslovar rotated more, while Exiles tried to limit the damaged which was already inflicted. Camilleri continue to score with a hat-trick as Neptunes increased their lead to ten goals, the same margin that the game ended as the last session finished the last session in a draw, with Blary responding to Scerri de Caro’s goal.

MARSAXLOKK FISCHER.....9
BIRŻEBBUGIA ASC................6
(3-0), (2-1), (3-3), (1-2)
First Division Champions Marsaxlokk Fischer continued to win as they defeated Birżebbugia 9-6 to stay at the top of the table with maximum points after four games.
Polacek’s team controlled the game with no difficulty as they opened up a good lead in the first part of the game and cruised past their opponents who only responded when it seemed that there wasn’t any hope of taking something from the game. Serbian Ivan Vuksanovic finished the game as the top scorer with another four goals to his name.
Marsaxlokk won the first session 3-0 and even went on to a 5-0 lead until Karl Rizzo Naudi scored the first goal of his team to reduce the margin to four goals until the end of the second session.
Birżebbugia scored twice in the beginning of the third session, but were ready to regain their advantage with goals from Sean Meli and Vuksanovic, and again responded after Matthew Caruana’s goal to stay four adrift of their opponents. Birżebbugia managed to win the last session which didn’t make a big difference as Marsaxlokk still won 9-6.
