No Glyphosate until new research is carried out

In her latest vlog for the Malta Independent, Labour MEP Miriam Dalli focuses on the controversial issue of Glyphosate, a substance used in most herbicides throughout Europe.
She says that it is worrying that while entities such as the World Health Organisation consider Glyphosate as a ‘highly probable carcinogen’, other EU entities do not reach the same conclusions. In this context, the Labour MEP who also serves as the S&D’s spokesperson on Environment and Public Health, called for new, impartial and truly independent research into the matter.
‘Before this is done, it would be highly irresponsible to re-authorise this substance which can lead to so much harm to public health’, Dalli points out.
