Arnold Cassola, who has been Alternattiva Demokratika chairman for the past four years, has informed the party that he wants to relinquish his position.

The news was made public by deputy leader Carmel Cacopardo in his personal blog. “It is likely that I will be carrying this burden,” Cacopardo said.

He said that the party will be discussing Cassola’s request in the coming days.

The party will also be looking into ways how it could improve its presence in the country’s political scenario.
