At the Foundation for Human Resources Development's biennial general meeting the new team which will lead the organisation for the next two years was elected.
Christine Coleiro (FIMBank plc), Matthew Naudi (Allied Group), Anne Marie Thake (University of Malta), Michelle Fenech Seguna (Westin Dragonara Resort), Claudine Attard (PWC Malta), Roderick Bajada (Malta Public Transport) and Mark Bugeja (Nectar Group) were elected. During the first board meeting of the newly elected board, Christine Colerio was elected by board members as President of FHRD for the period 2017-2019. Matthew Naudi was elected as Vice-President.
Coleiro is currently First Vice President Human Resource at FIMBank plc. She has an MSC in Human Resource Development and Performance Management from the University of Leicester and a coaching certification from the International Coach Federation. Prior to joining FIMBank, Coleiro worked for KPMG Malta and Ireland. She holds a Warrant as a Certified Public Accountant and a Practising Certificate in Auditing, issued by the Maltese Accountancy Board. She is an influential HR specialist with over 10 years' experience in both local and international HR spheres and has championed various HR value adding initiatives and projects mainly in the areas of learning and development, performance management, leadership, mentoring and coaching, talent management and succession planning.
The new FHRD board will continue building on the work of past boards to make sure that FHRD continues providing quality HR related courses ranging from Level 5 Awards up to Doctorate level. At the same time, FHRD looks forward tothe next two years to continue being a networking hub for its members and HR practitioners in Malta. One of the main priorities of the organisation will be that of continuing the work with the authorities in Malta to introduce a warrant for HR practitioners operating in Malta, with the aim of constantly raising the bar when it comes to people management. The Foundation's objective is to constantly increase the quality of human resources in Malta through its lifelong learning programmes, networking events and conferences.
