Outgoing PN Treasurer Alex Perici Calascione is considering contesting the PN leadership post, according to a report which appeared on MaltaToday.

The 55-year-old lawyer said, according to the article, that he has been approached by a number of people to consider the matter seriously.

If he were to contest, he would be the third person to throw his name into the hat, with Adrian Delia and Chris Said having already done so.

He believes that such a commitment requires a lot of responsibility.

He has been practicing law since 1987. In 1991 he was appointed as Commissioner of Justice. He was elected to the PN executive Committee in March  2013 and again in 2015.
