Parliamentary Secretary for Digital Economy and Financial Services Silvio Schembri together with Parliamentary Secretary for Valletta 18 Deo Debattista, announced that the government will be starting emergency maintenance work in Ghar Lapsi. 

Schembri said the government took note of the various reports on the disastrous state of this famous bay near Siggiewi. The government will now intervene and make sure that the necessary maintenance takes place.  

Schembri also announced that the Malta Communications Authority will make the necessary arrangements to set up a free WI-FI service. "This initiative will compliment the government's aim to make Malta a free WI-FI state."
