Kalkara residents were left fuming after what looks like a huge trail of white mud appeared in Triq il-Kapuccini. 

Residents said the trail was over 300 metres long, and reached all the way down to the seafront.

It is unclear whether the mud originated from roadworks that are being carried out in the area.

One resident said he had tried to speak to someone at the local council but that no one had picked up the phone.
