Minister for European Affairs and Equality Helena Dalli has the launched the 'Full-Cooperation - Zero Violence' project, a €350,000 investment aimed at supporting professionals who work against domestic and gender-based violence.

The investment will be spread between 2017 and 2018, and is co-financed b the EU program for Rights, Equality and Citizenship.

Dalli said that the investment will add further support to the new legislation concerning domestic and gender-based violence.

The bill, which was on its second reading by the end of the previous legislature, will be implemented after the Marriage Equality bill is approved by Parliament.

The amendments will launch a national strategy to support the good work already taking place.
