Transport Minister Ian Borg has announced that extensive works on a number of main roads which are currently in a poor state will begin in the coming days.

The Minister posted on Facebook that these areas will include Bontadini street in Birkirkara, Birkirkara Road in Attard and the area near the Roman Villa in Rabat.

"I have also asked to increase capacity in our roads through minor yet significant interventions, such as is happening with the area near the Lija cemetery."
