The ‘Summer Book Festival’ was officially opened this morning by Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana. Minister Caruana visited SKS Publishers Stand who are exhibiting  novels, short stories by the best known Maltese and Gozitan authors including contemporary authors Alfred Sant, Frans Sammut, J.J Camilleri, Pawlu Xuereb, Lino Spiteri, Ġuże’ Chetcuti, Karmenu Vassallo, and Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Juann Mamo, Ġuże’ Bonnici, Ġuże’ Ellul Mercer, Ġuże’ Orlando, Gino Muscat Azzopardi, Ivo Muscat Azzopardi.

SKS is also exhibiting Lu Xun’s ‘Is-Sejħa’ (The Call) a collection of Chinese short stories which have been translated from Chinese into Maltese by Clifford Borg Marks.

The ‘Summer Book Festival’  is being held at Sir M. A Refalo Sixth Form, Victoria Gozo and will be open today Friday and tomorrow Saturday between 10am-7pm.  The exhibited books will be selling at a very discounted prices starting from €2.
