An elderly man died this morning while swimming in Marsalforn, the police said.
The 89-year-old, who resides in St Paul’s Bay, was given first assistance until the ambulance arrived to take him to the Gozo General Hospital, where he died.
Magistrate Paul Coppini is conducting an inquiry.
