Roberto Debrincat has been named new editor of the pro-Labour General Workers’ Union daily newspaper l-orizzont.
He succeeds Josef Caruana who has taken up a new job at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Debrincat joined the Union Print in 2005 and worked in the features department. He later moved to the sports department where he worked as a supervisor for three years before leaving Union Print to take up a job in the financial sector.
Last October he returned to Union Print as deputy editor of l-orizzont.
Debrincat has a diploma in managerial studies and is in the last phase of a Masters degree in public relations and media management.
The Malta Independent wishes Debrincat good luck in his new job.
