The Kappara Junction flyover is now partially open for traffic flowing from Msida going towards St Julian's.

Later on this year, when the remainder of the works will be complete, the direction of the traffic will flow both ways. Currently, traffic heading towards University is still passing beneath the flyover.

At around 8 am, traffic was flowing smoothly in both directions.

Minister for Transport Ian Borg visited the Kappara Junction yesterday morning and the flyover opened last night.

"We are proud to remind you that this project will be completed weeks before the end of year deadline," the Minister said yesterday.
