An 18-year-old youth was grievously injured following a traffic accident at 9.30am this morning.

The accident occurred on Triq Lorenzo Gafa, Żebbuġ.  

A 61-year-old man from Qormi driving an Isuzu D-Max hit a van, resulting in the 18-year-old's injuries. The 18-year-old was loading/unloading items from the van at the time.

An ambulance went on site and took the youth to Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
