A Turkish man died this afternoon after a fall on a vessel in Birzebbuga at 4.50pm, the police said.

The 31-year-old fell a height of six metres while working on a vessel at the Oil Tanking Services.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were called on side but he was certified dead on site.

Magistrate Grazio Mercieca is leading an inquiry.
