A 52-year-old man from Qala, Gozo was involved in a traffic accident at around 12.30am early this morning which left him suffering grievous injury.

The police were called to the scene when the man lost control of his Honda XR400 motorcycle while on Qala Street, Qala, and toppled over.

An ambulance was called to come to the man’s assistance. He was taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment where he was certified to be suffering from grievous injury.

Investigations are ongoing, police say.
