Nazzareno Attard wins All Malta Trap trophy

Nazzareno Attard won The All Malta Trap Trophy organised by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation at Bidnija the past weekend. This event was held over 125 clays trap, with the top six shooters qualifying for the final stages.

Remarkable scores of 120/125 by Brian Galea and 116/125 by Jason J Aquilina were recorded in the qualification rounds. 

Nazzareno Attard placed 1st with 108/125 - 18-23-28-33-40. Stephen Vella placed 2nd with 109/125 - 18-23-28-29-38. Third was Nicky Carabott with 110/125 - 18-23-26-28.

Noel Attard placed 4th with 112/125 - 17-21-24 while Jason John Aquilina was fifth with116/125 - 13-16. Sixth was Brian Galea with 120/125 - 11

In the meantime a contingent of Maltese Junior shooters, this week are competing in The ISSF Junior World Cup Shotgun TAV Porpetto in Italy.

Marcello and Marlon Attard will be competing in Skeet. Mikaela Galea, Mariah Busuttil and Emanuel Cachia Simpson will be competing in trap and are being assisted by Dr. James Galea.

Gianluca Chetcuti will be competing in Double Trap and will be assisted by Jimmy Bugeja.

This was the first time that MSSF was represented by female junior shooters in an ISSF event. 

 

Next week trap shooters, Brian Galea, Frans Pace and Nicky Carabott will fly to Moscow for The ISSF World Championships 2017.
