As the BOV Summer promotion enters into its second month, Bank of Valletta announced the second group of four winners. Randomly selected from among those customers who took up a BOV Visa Classic card between the 11th July and the 1st August, the winners are Philip Buhagiar, Jesmond Doublet, Erika Medati and Maria Muscat Dalli.
Chris Degabriele, BOV Head Card Business, accompanied by Branch Manager Herbert Catania welcomed the winners at the bank's Branch in Qormi. They were presented with a GoPro (Hero5) each.
Mr Degabriele explained that all customers applying for a BOV Visa Classic Card are eligible to participate in this promotion that is rewarding 12 GoPro (Hero 5) over the summer period. Furthermore, at the end of the promotion, one lucky winner will be taking home a 12-inch Macbook laptop.
"The BOV Visa Classic card is the basic credit card type offered by the bank, and is therefore ideal for the person who is applying for the first credit card," explained Mr Degabriele. The BOV Visa Classic Card offers the cardholder a credit limit of €700 and is ideal to effect purchases from either retail outlets or online, offering convenience and flexibility. Furthermore, it is linked to ancillary services such as the BOV 3D Secure which offers even more peace of mind for online shopping. BOV Mobile subscribers are able to view their credit card balance and transactions over their mobile phone, as well as effect transfers to and from other accounts.
Elaborating further about the campaign, Chris Degabriele explained that, "Though cash and cheque payments remain a reality, we are witnessing an increase in use of credit cards by a wider cross-section of customers for a broader range of services. With this campaign, we want to encourage more customers to acquire their first credit card, and witness first-hand the benefits that it offers.
