Thursday, 14 September 2017, 09:36 Last update: about 8 years ago

On Saturday, 16 September between 6 and 11pm, a Fish fest will be once again organised in Marsaxlokk. This event is being organised by the Rural Festivities Unit with the Parliamentary Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights in collaboration with the Marsaxlokk local council.

This event is very popular and has also become part of the Maltese traditions. Fresh fish will be on sale and Joe Farrugia, known as id-Dulli, his wife Veronica, Joe Demicoli and other popular singers will be entertaining those present. Local artists would be creating different crafts which can be bought from their stalls. Restaurants will be serving special menus to mark this annual event. A kids' corner will also be available for those visiting with children.

The residential street along the promenade will be closed for traffic, thus providing more space for the public to enjoy a stroll on the promenade.
